FIVE U-nique Fixturing System

FIVE U-nique is an innovative system for the flexible fixturing of parts for inspection on a coordinate measuring system. It uses the coordinate measuring system to build precise, repeatable part holding fixtures prior to executing the part inspection program.
Its main mechanical component is a jackable column which is available in several sizes and is mounted on the CMM’s baseplate to support the part under inspection. Depending on the machine with which the system is used you can select between either mechanical or magnetic bases. Various accessories are available which mount onto the columns including supporting, referencing and part locking modules.

The reference position of each column can be stored in the software, allowing you to break down and re-build the fixture precisely.
