Nomi, an AI assistant from Vietnamese company ADT Global, outcompeted 350 startups from 60 countries to win an award in the Supernova Pitch Competition at Gitex Asia 2025.
The Supernova Pitch Competition is a contest for startups held within Gitex Asia 2025 – Asia's largest technology and startup event, which took place last weekend in Singapore. Nomi, developed by Hanoi-based Vietnamese company ADT Global, won first prize in the Gitex Europe Award category, which selects outstanding products to participate in Supernova 100 at Gitex Europe 2025 held in Germany in mid-May.
"Nomi winning the Gitex Europe Award is a catalyst and a launching pad that opens up strategic opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to access European and global markets," said Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC). "This also sends a strong message about Vietnam's technological capabilities, showing that Vietnamese tech companies are capable of creating innovative products that can compete fairly and win on major international stages, thereby fostering sustainable development in the era of digital transformation."

Nomi uses AI for smart personal finance management, automatically recording expenses and providing advice, helping users effectively evaluate and save. Mr. Pham Tien Huy, Production Director at ADT Global, stated that Nomi was developed after 15 months of research and development. "We have a team with deep experience in finance and technology, combining leading Large Language Models (LLM)," Mr. Huy said. "However, building an AI system smart enough to understand and naturally respond to user questions and requests related to finance is quite complex, forcing us to continuously test and improve the model while ensuring privacy."
Nomi currently utilizes GPT-4o and Gemini to process natural language, understand user intent, and generate personalized responses. Mr. Huy added that in the future, the application will improve its ability to predict and suggest financial advice based on user behavior and personal goals, as well as add features for financial analysis, reporting, and integration with domestic and international banks.
ADT Global, established in 2015, specializes in technology and solutions related to AI, Extended Reality (XR), Digital Twins, IoT, along with 3D, 360-degree, web, mobile, and game applications.
Gitex Asia is part of Gitex Global – a series of events founded in 1980 in Dubai (UAE) with the aim of promoting initiatives that shape the global economy. At these events, ministers and officials can present major annual digital initiatives and projects, as well as announce public and private sector technology partnerships.
Gitex Asia 2025 in Singapore gathered over 700 technology companies and startups along with more than 250 investors from over 60 countries. Vietnam participated through the NIC's leadership with the Vietnam Pavilion.
Gitex Asia 2026 will be held in Vietnam in October 2026.
