1. PROBLEM

When a car manufacturer or racing team is developing a new vehicle, one of the initial steps is designing the car frame and then testing its rigidity. To accomplish this, the frame undergoes a series of tests to evaluate its performance under various loading conditions, including high speed and extreme environments. To carry out these tests, high-resolution sensors are required to detect the slightest deformation in the frame.

2. SOLUTION

  5. Multiple Outputs: Solatron provides various output options including DC, 4-20mA, TTL, and other analog outputs to meet diverse application needs.
  6. Digital Option: Additionally, Solatron's Digital Orbit® offers calibrated digital units, facilitating synchronized readings into a central system for optimal data analysis and management.

Solartron displacement transducers can be mounted to the interior of a race car frame for precise monitoring of deflections.

Measurement data can be instantly transmitted to software via the Orbit® Network or other high-speed outputs.
