Leitz Reference HP

The high-precision Leitz Reference HP series of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) with a moving bridge are ideal inspection centres for complex measuring tasks. By combining high-accuracy scanning and point probing capabilities with optimum throughput, Leitz Reference HP CMMs ensure fast, precise and cost-effective inspection of workpieces.

A wide variety of tactile and optical probes are compatible with the Leitz Reference HP CMMs, enabling a flexible approach to accomplish inspection tasks in both single-point probing and high-speed scanning modes. The XT option extended temperature range and PULSE environmental monitoring options available on all machines within the range offer the ability to operate the machine outside of a temperature-controlled environment. The Leitz Reference HP is not only a CMM; it can also be used as a gear inspection centre in combination with the QUINDOS software. Over 30 packages, such as, for example, gears, bevel gears, worms, worm wheels, step gears, scroll and screw compressors are available.

Enhanced Capability Packages
The versatile Leitz Reference HP CMMs are available with the option to optimise functional capabilities towards the individual needs of manufacturers with a range of specialist packages.

Each package offers enhanced performance options to equip the machine for optimum efficiency in any application.

Universal Throughput
High machine dynamics and fast data generation provided by advanced sensor and scanning
technologies enable the Leitz Reference line to deliver an increase in the overall throughput of the measurement process, resulting in a reduction in inspection costs.

Applied Precision
The high-quality, precision-optimised Applied Precision package provides the highest level of accuracy with precise technology including a well-engineered and advanced frame concept, ultra-precise sensor technology and sophisticated mathematical compensation methods. This results in applied precision capabilities which allow easy and reliable measurement even of complex and challenging geometries.

Multi-Purpose
The Multi-Purpose package enhances the flexibility of the measurement solution to allow manufacturers to face the challenges of increasing complexity and diversity of measurement parts through a wide range of tactile and optical sensors. With the SENMATION universal sensor interface, all these sensors can be combined in one single measurement routine. The Multi-Purpose capability package enables the Leitz Reference CMM to execute complex measuring tasks to an optimum ratio of precision and throughput.

Shop-Floor Integration
Meeting the requirements of harsh shop-floor environments, the Shop-Floor Integration capability package makes the CMM more robust to withstand fluctuating temperatures, dust and dirt or vibrations. These influences on the CMM can be monitored with the innovative PULSE environmental monitoring system, providing actionable information to support root cause analysis.

Ceramic Ram
Selected sizes of the Leitz Reference HP are equipped with a ceramic Z-ram to maximise robustness and stiffness. It is the ideal construction to achieve the optimal measuring performance required by a wide range of modern applications.

Future Ready
The Future Ready concept optimises the CMM for the SENMATION intelligent sensor automation system upgrade. The universal pre-cabling enables a simple integration process at any time, allowing for flexible application changes without costly downtime.

TRICISION
A moving bridge with triangular profile provides optimum stiff-to-mass ratio for unquestioned precision and long-term stability.

Status Messaging Lights
The Status Message Light kit integrates LED alert lights into the CMM so you can check machine status at a glance, even at a distance. This means the CMM can be left to measure, allowing you to optimise time and resource management.

High-Resolution Steel Scales
High-quality steel scales and automatic temperature compensation reduce the effect of temperature fluctuations on the measurement process.

Rotary Tables
As an integrated or on-top version, rotary tables up to a diameter of 600 mm and a maximum table load of 550 kg can be used for 4-axis scanning and component positioning.

Temperature Sensor
An optional exchangeable temperature sensor for the LSP-S2 Scan+ and the HP-S-X5 HD enables automatic part-temperature measurement at the workpiece (integrated in the measurement program).

XT Option
The XT option enables accurate and reliable measurement in the expanded temperature range of 15 °C to 30 °C on selected Leitz Reference HP machine models, which is indispensable in environments where temperature conditions are not controlled.
