ROUGHNESS AND PROFILE TESTING EQUIPMENT INTRA CONTOUR - TAYLOR HOBSON

The device measures by using a probe that slides over the surface to be measured (or by a non-contact method using another principle).

Roughness often refers to the degree of roughness of the machined product surface. The processing process creates a product that can be seen with the naked eye as shiny, but in reality there are still uneven areas. Roughness is a measure of the total number of irregularities on a surface.

The device integrates both profile measurement and surface roughness measurement features. The device is connected to software on a computer capable of measuring and calculating spatial geometric dimensions.

  • High precision, repeatability, reliability and durability
  • Two features in 1 device: roughness measurement and profile measurement.
  • High application range suitable for many products thanks to the Z axis design up to 90mm high, which can be increased to 350mm when using accompanying accessories.
  • Measuring width, depth can be increased up to 32mm
  • The software interface is friendly, intuitive, and easy to use

Taylor Hobson Intra Contour

  • Both roughness and profile can be measured with just one device.
  • Proprietary calibration process.
  • Wide measuring head range, suitable for narrow positions, deep holes/grooves, planes perpendicular to the measuring needle axis.

Taylor Hobson, founded in 1886, is the world's leading manufacturer of surface and profile measurement equipment. Taylor Hobson is also the first company in the world to develop a complete device with roundness and profile measurement functions. Currently, Taylor Hobson is a member of AMETEK - the world's leading manufacturer of electronic components and electromechanical equipment headquartered in the US.
