Checking components’ properly working
The Smart LED Test is designed primarily for testing through-hole and surface-mount LEDs but it also does continuity test. When connected to any digital multimeter via included conventional test leads it can easily be used for any other testing, voltage, capacitance, inductance and resistance measurements
The Smart LED Tester has sharp phosphor bronze gold-plated tweezers that can grasp small components on a PCB. They are able to test LEDs, fuses, shorts, switches, wires and PCB circuitry.
Easily turning in to LCR Tweezer Meter
With a special connector cable, the Smart LED Testercan also be used as probes for SMT testing; just connect the Smart LED Testerto an LCR-meter and the device will act as an LCR Tweezer Meter
LEDs are tested using a 12VDC output, with adjustable current ratings of 20 mA, 10 mA, 5 mA. The polarity of the LED can be determined using the tweezers arms which are colour coded, using red for the anode (+) and grey (-) for the cathode.
