GD&T FUNDAMENTALS TRAINING COURSE

GD&T Fundamentals training course provides an adequate amount of comprehensive understanding of knowledge about GD&T. To take this training successfully, students need to have some experience in reading drawing basically, production or inspection environment working with engineering drawings

1. Course Description:

GD&T Fundamentals training course is suitable for everyone who has no experience with or basic knowledge of GD&T.

This course provides an adequate amount of comprehensive understanding of knowledge about GD&T, to support students not only understand GD&T concept but also deeply understand why GD&T was created to replace traditional dimensional tolerances. The course focuses on practical knowledge with real-world examples from customer drawings and products to help students understand GD&T more easily.

The lessons are designed to teach students only the concepts and terminology required to do their jobs more effectively and improve their manufacturing operation.

This course provides students with expand practice exercises to help learners remember the knowledge they have learned for a long time.

2. Who is suitble:

This course will be suitable for those who have been working in R&D, design, NC, CMM, and manufacturing production departments related to technical drawings. However, prior understanding of GD&T is not necessary.

3. Course Objectives:

• Get an understanding of concepts and awareness of almost all GD&T knowledge.
• Get knowledge of all 14 primary GD&T symbols, comprehend how to utilize the ones which are beneficial, and stay away from the ones that don't serve a purpose.
• Understand the 6 degrees of freedom in space, and the effects of GD&T Feature Control Frames on manufacturing and inspection.
• Understand types of dimensions and related principles, students will be learned international standard conventions.
• Understand types of tolerance and related principles to apply real-world.
• Learn about MMC/LMC/MMB material conditions and its functional applications more deeply.
• Understand Rule #1 (Boundary rule) and Rule #2 of ASME standard and compare with ISO.
• Comparing symbols and usage rules between ASME and ISO standards.
• Learn about MMC/LMC/MMB material conditions and its functional applications.

4. Training duration:

3 days (9AM - 16PM) (equivalent to 18 hours) + 1 days for Q&A

5. Input Requirement:

Students have some experience in reading drawing basically

Prior basic GD&T experience needed

Input exam is required

6. Learning Methods:

On-Site Training: Teacher visits your facility to provide customized hands-on training for your team.

In-site Training: V-Proud has monthly schedule for face-to-face training at Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh offices

7. Certificate and Documentation:

Each student will be provided a GD&T textbook by V-Proud with about more than 300 slides (textbook will be changed base on customer product characteristics)

Get a certificate if student passes output exam
